About

Hello, thank you for dropping by,

it is really lovely to meet you.

My name is Lynn and I am a dedicated fibre obsessive! I get my fix by being a designer of knitting and crochet patterns and maker of yummy yarny goodies.

I reside by the sea on a beautiful island off the south coast of England and am the very proud mother of two adult sons, who mean the world to me.

I have been selling my patterns online for a while now, and have Wightstitches stores on Etsy, Ravelry and Craftsy  (I certainly don’t believe in putting all my eggs in one basket!). I also have a business page on Facebook where I post links to other designers work, mostly freebies, that catch my eye. Plus you can connect with me and other fibre fans through Google+ here. You may also like to check out some of the beautiful images on my Pinterest pages. And if you are looking for stylish yarn related (& non yarn related) gifts for loved ones, or just to treat yourself, pop over to Wightstitches REDBUBBLE STORE

If all that wasn’t enough to keep me busy, I thought perhaps it was about time I had my own dedicated website!

So, ‘Wightstitches… with Bells on‘, was born.

Its aim is to, hopefully, inspire and encourage others to discover the joy that can be found in the fibre arts, whether it is knitting, crocheting, felting or a mixture of all three. I intend for there to be tips, useful information, inspirational images and, eventually, picture tutorials. I am also a huge fan of illustrative art and I shall be featuring that too, together with a bit of chat and whatever else might take my fancy (that’s the ‘…with bells on‘ bit!) but it will be predominantly yarn based…

So whether you have been yarning for years like myself,  are yet to pick up your first pair of needles (or hook) or anywhere in between, I hope you find something amongst my pages to make you smile.

Thank you for taking the time to drop by and I hope you enjoy my pretty things and musings and will visit often….

Happy Yarning.
